restring for food

On Saturday November 14th, 2009 at Bigel Music Musicians of Tampa generously donated 189 pounds of food and allowed the staff and volunteers of Bigel Music to restring 42 instruments with a fresh set of D'Addario Strings!
All food items received were donated to Suncoast Harvest Food Bank, a local bank of America's Second Harvest (Feeding America). Bigel Music would like to publicly thank the D'Addario Company for providing strings for this event and the staff and volunteers of Bigel Music including Dave Hamar and Benjamin Livingston for restringing the instruments.
Thank you to everyone who brought in food items. It is an honor to be part of a great charity event.

Our STRINGS for THINGS event was where we collected over 45 lbs. of non-perishable food and donated it to Suncoast Food Bank which is part of American Second Harvest.
We take a great deal of pride in being able to serve others in our community and help out individuals and families in their time of need. If you have an idea where you think music and fundraising can benefit your organization, please let us know and we'll do whatever we can to help out.
