Our lesson program offers instruction in piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, trumpet, saxophone, violin, cello and other band instruments. We also provide many opportunities for our students to perform in recitals. Recitals have proved to be very motivating for the students, especially when they get to see their teachers perform.

Our teachers are dedicated towards helping students learn to play music in a safe and comfortable environment. They are capable of teaching all levels and cover many styles including, but not limited to rock, blues, classical, and jazz.

Lesson Policy

Tuition for private one on one instruction (one teacher one student) is $80 per month to be pre-paid at the beginning of each month. There is a one-time registration fee of $20 per student at sign-up. Tuition is for an average of 4 lessons per month. As there is no additional charge for months with 5 lessons, there is no reduction in tuition for lessons cancelled due to the following holidays which Bigel Music will not be holding lessons: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day.

Lessons start and end per scheduled time. If student is late for a scheduled lesson, they can either have a shorter lesson or forfeit the lesson for that day.

Student must provide more than 24 hours notice of missing their lesson to be eligible for a makeup class. This policy is required in order to properly notify the teacher of schedule changes and to provide the studio ample time to rebook the time slot.

Makeup classes are subject to instructor availability. BIGEL MUSIC cannot issue credits for lessons that the student has missed. Nor can make-ups be rolled over as credit towards another month.

In order to minimize absenteeism of students and teachers, please do not bring a sick child to class.

Lessons are scheduled one month at a time. It is assumed that student will continue their lessons the following month at the same time unless notified in writing. Student needs to provide written notice to Bigel Music by the 21st of the month if they want to discontinue their lessons for the following month. If Bigel Music is notified after the 21st, customer will be charged a $40 cancellation fee.

There are no refunds for paid lessons.

Bigel Music is not responsible for children outside of their scheduled lesson times.

If an instructor is absent, we will attempt to provide a substitute, which is a hired instructor of Bigel Music. Customer may or may not be notified in advance of a substitute.
