Amanda

Amanda Henderson

Amanda Henderson teaches piano, voice, and clarinet. She has played the piano for several years, and is currently studying under Dharshini Tambiah at the University of South Florida in the pursuit of a BS in Music Education. Over the past five years, Amanda has earned superior ratings for every solo and ensemble event, including the Mixed All-State Chorus in 2007. Amanda also has a wide range of theatrical experience having played for and acted in over a dozen musicals including the Sound of Music, Carousel, and The Music Man, to name a few. Collegiate choir experience includes being an active member of the ‘USF Chamber Singers’ (under the direction of Dr. Richard Zielinski) as well as ‘Bel Canto’ (under the direction of Dr. Lynne Gackle). Amanda’s passion is to share her love of music of all forms through teaching others how to sing and play music.

Porsche

Porsche Purkett

Porsche teaches violin and piano. She started playing violin at the age of seven and has been in various music festivals throughout her career. Currently Porsche attends the University of South Florida pursuing a degree in violin performance in the studio of Julliard graduate violinist Carolyn Stuart. Dedicated to her community, she has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace’s orchestra for seven years, and has been a member of the All-County Orchestra every year since the 6th grade. She was the concertmistress in 7th and 8th grade of Greco Middle School and was also a member of the All State Honors Orchestra in 8th grade. Throughout high school she as a member of the Patel Conservatory Youth Orchestras in which in June of 2007, she performed at Carnegie Hall. She was the concertmistress of King High School her senior year and also received the Master Musician award which entitled her to scholarship money every year along with the Robert Price Music Scholarship for her musicianship. Also, she received a superior rating on several occasions at the annual high school Solo and Ensemble event. Not only has she excelled as a performer, but as a teacher as well. Her passion is to teach because she feels that music should be in everyone's life. There is nothing better than the feeling of accomplishment after hard work and teaching and learning heightens the self esteem giving students a whole new positive perspective on life in general.

Charissa

Charissa Denham

A Tampa native, Charissa Denham began studying piano at the age of eight. During high school she studied piano and voice under Dr. Rodney Shores at the Conservatory for the Arts at Tampa Bay. Upon graduation she attended Florida Southern College where she earned the Bachelor of Music degree in piano and voice having studied piano under Dr. Robert MacDonald and voice under Diane Stahl in addition to receiving vocal coaching from Beverly Wolff. Ms. Denham continued her piano studies at The Boston Conservatory where she earned the Master of Music degree in piano performance under the instruction of Prof. Jung-Ja Kim and Dr. Jonathan Bass. Ms. Denham has experience directing children's choirs and has worked with all ages. Ms. Denham is currently an adjunct professor at Trinity College of Florida where she serves as the choral director and teaches applied piano and voice. Ms. Denham has been a member of the Tampa Bay Children's Chorus, the New Singers of Tampa Bay, and The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and participated in the 2009 Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria. In March 2011 she was a judge for Teens Involved, a fine arts competition hosted by Word of Life Fellowship. She is currently a member of the Richard Zielinski Singers and is the accompanist for Le Petit Choeur, one of the Gulf Coast Youth Choirs.

Camille

Camille Tedesco

Camille teaches piano and voice at Bigel. Camille has had a love and appreciation for music since an early age, and began her classical training in piano and voice at age nine. She was a member of the Gulf Coast Youth Choirs (conducted by Dr. Lynne Gackle) for six years. As a member of GCYC, she had the incredible opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall and compete in the Heritage Festival of Gold in Los Angeles as a featured soloist. While still a sophomore in high school, she entered the University of South Florida early and began to study Vocal Performance under the instruction of Dr. Liana Valente. She continues to pursue her degree in Music Studies, performing with the Collegiate Singers (under Dr. James Bass) and as a member of the USF Opera. She received the Tuesday Music Club of Lakeland Opera Auditions scholarship and participated in the Stephen Foster and Jeanie Competition in White Springs, FL. She enjoys working with children and has instructed children of all different ages in piano and voice.

Cliff

Cliff Longcoy

Cliff began his piano learning at the age of eight. During middle school and high school, he took lessons from German professor Dr. Carl Zooberg. Now he is currently pursuing his music degree at the University of South Florida, and is currently studying with Dharshini Tambiah from London, England. Over the years, Cliff has competed in over 30 solo piano concerts. In addition he has competed in many state competitions in the United States as well as competing in France, Germany, and Japan. Cliff won fourth place in the Florida Young Artist Competition where he performed with the Florida Orchestra. Though classically trained, he is able to perform and teach various styles of music. His philosophy toward teaching is to express patience, help his students to enjoy playing the piano, and to assist them in expressing themselves freely through it whichever style they choose.

Brittany

Brittany Denham Bozeman

Brittany Denham Bozeman began her musical studies with piano lessons at the age of five. At age 12 she began her vocal studies. In 2004 Brittany continued her musical studies at Florida Southern College from which she graduated in 2008 with a B.M. in piano and voice performance. While at FSC, Brittany did extensive accompanying work for voice, solo instruments and various instrumental ensembles. She also performed with the FSC Opera Theater, Chamber Singers, Piano Trio and instrumental chamber ensemble as well as performing in master classes with Davide Cabassi, Sylvia McNair and Therese Lindquist. Following graduation she moved to Texas where she studied German at the University of North Texas. While there, she became a music instructor at the Music Academy of Denton where she taught group piano and individual piano and voice lessons as well as directing the music program for students with special needs.  In 2009, Brittany moved back to Florida and is currently teaching piano and voice at Bigel Music.
