Chris Sgammato

Chris Sgammato teaches woodwind instruments, including but not limited to saxophone and clarinet. He is a performance major at the University of South Florida, studying under the direction of professor Won Cho. He has played clarinet and saxophone in both wind ensemble and jazz band settings for 9 years. Chris is currently a veteran member of the USF Herd of Thunder marching band, in addition to singing bass in the USF Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Richard Zielinski. Some of his upcoming performances include a summer '08 tour of Poland for In Terra Pax, and a trip to Austria for the 200th anniversary of the prominent Haydn music festival, Eisenstadt, in summer '09. By teaching music, he is looking to share his passion of music with others. This way he can help students appreciate the benefits of playing music, and show them how to have fun in the process of learning to play an instrument.
