Dan Provost
Dan Provost teaches general music professionally for 16 years to Kindergarten through Eighth Grade students at the Academy of the Holy Names, Tampa. He also enjoys directing before- and after-school programs in beginning through advanced instrumental band, Middle School chorus and bell choir, and assisting with the direction of the Academy’s annual musical theater productions. Dan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois, and completed his State of Florida certification at the University of South Florida. He plays and teaches all wind instruments, guitar, and piano. Dan has performed locally and competed internationally for six years as a bass vocalist with the Heralds of Harmony barbershop show chorus, and has performed for several years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pep Band and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Band. He currently enjoys playing alto and tenor saxophone with the local group “Father Eric and the Deacon Blues,”as well as acting and singing roles in Community Theatre.

Chris Sgammato
Chris Sgammato teaches woodwind instruments, including but not limited to saxophone and clarinet. He is a performance major at the University of South Florida, studying under the direction of professor Won Cho. He has played clarinet and saxophone in both wind ensemble and jazz band settings for 9 years. Chris is currently a veteran member of the USF Herd of Thunder marching band, in addition to singing bass in the USF Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Richard Zielinski. Some of his upcoming performances include a summer '08 tour of Poland for In Terra Pax, and a trip to Austria for the 200th anniversary of the prominent Haydn music festival, Eisenstadt, in summer '09. By teaching music, he is looking to share his passion of music with others. This way he can help students appreciate the benefits of playing music, and show them how to have fun in the process of learning to play an instrument.

Amanda Henderson
Amanda Henderson teaches piano, voice, and clarinet. She has played the piano for several years, and is currently studying under Dharshini Tambiah at the University of South Florida in the pursuit of a BS in Music Education. Over the past five years, Amanda has earned superior ratings for every solo and ensemble event, including the Mixed All-State Chorus in 2007. Amanda also has a wide range of theatrical experience having played for and acted in over a dozen musicals including the Sound of Music, Carousel, and The Music Man, to name a few. Collegiate choir experience includes being an active member of the ‘USF Chamber Singers’ (under the direction of Dr. Richard Zielinski) as well as ‘Bel Canto’ (under the direction of Dr. Lynne Gackle). Amanda’s passion is to share her love of music of all forms through teaching others how to sing and play music.

Jennifer Coyne
Jennifer Coyne teaches beginning to advanced clarinet; beginning flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and piano to students of all ages. Jennifer is a National Board Certified Teacher and has been teaching both privately and in the public schools for over 20 years. Originally from Central New York, her education includes, an Associates Degree in Music from Onondaga Community College; Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Syracuse University; Masters Degree in Education from the State University at Oswego and she obtained her National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music in 2005. She has participated in many ensembles and performing groups both in college and professionally over the years. Jennifer believes that everyone has potential and it is never too late to learn! “I always tell my students that they can do anything they put their mind to!” She is patient and encouraging. If a student does not understand a concept, she finds other ways to explain the concept to ensure student understanding. She has taught students of all ages over the years. “Seeing a student succeed no matter what their age is so gratifying! To see the look of excitement on their face and to hear them say I did it! makes teaching the best job in the world.
